It is with great pleasure that the Knowle FC committee would like to introduce the club’s new chairperson, Darryl Saunders.
Darryl is a father of three who brings with him a wealth of football club experience from being chair of Langley FC in London, before recently relocating to Solihull.
Upon accepting the role, Darryl wanted to share the following message:
“I’m very easy going and approachable, so I want everyone who is a part of the club no matter what capacity to know that I’m not here to lead with an iron fist, I’m here to be your friend and to be a part of a community in which we can all help this club grow. I know it’s going to take hard work and my background in business will be put to the test but I’m here for the hard work and I’m here for as long as you will have me.
Together I do truly believe that we can make this club a real hub for the community and a place where people can come and really enjoy football, as I know how important this can be for people. I thank you all for the opportunity and I look forward to getting to know each of you more as we move forward.”
I am sure everyone will join the committee in welcoming Darryl to the club, and wishing him all the best.
The club would also like to place on record once again our thanks to outgoing Chairman, Dave Ratcliffe, who has stepped away for personal reasons. Dave has been a superb Chair, presiding over a hugely positive period for the club and has the respect of all club members, opposition teams and anyone linked to Midlands football.
