Knowle Ladies Confirm Wadsworth Main Sponsor Once Again

Knowle Ladies FC have once again joined forces with Wadsworth Solicitors as they look forward to the new 2024/25 season starting next month. Exciting times are ahead for the team, as they embark on a new era under the leadership of their newly appointed manager, Reece Crowton. With Wadsworth committing to their ninth season as main sponsor of the Ladies team, Reece has the backing he needs to build on the solid foundation established by his predecessors, guiding the team to new heights.
Club chairman Darryl Saunders said “We’re extremely pleased to work with Wadsworth Solicitors again. The incredible long-term support provided by them has been instrumental in establishing and sustaining our Women’s team. Wadsworth’s unwavering commitment has enabled the club to offer football opportunities for girls at every age group, ensuring a continuous flow of talent into the first team.”
Indeed, Knowle FC’s commitment to nurturing young talent and supporting women’s football is stronger than ever, and the future looks bright as the team gears up for the season ahead. The club have successfully integrated girls’ football into the broader structure of the club, creating a seamless pathway from under-eights to the first team.
Last weekend Wadsworth Director Gemma Dempsey visited the club to take in a pre-season friendly, inspect the Wadsworth branded shirts, and meet some of the players; including some who have stepped out of the junior under-eighteen team over summer to join the adult set up.

Team captain Maz Byrne added “We’re extremely grateful for the support from everyone at Wadsworth. They believed in us, and the women’s game as a whole, before the recent boost in popularity following the success of the amazing Lionesses. Their backing ensures the club can be home to female players like myself, my teammates and my daughter who plays for our under eleven side! We’re a family club, so it’s great that a family business recognises that strong ethos and wants to partner with us.”
Family-run solicitors Wadsworth were established in 1986, and take great pride in serving the local community. It’s important to them that they give back where they can. Victoria Hicks, Marketing Manager explained "As a local business, connecting with our community is essential. Saunders couldn’t agree more with this attitude and is keen to involve the surrounding community with the Knowle Ladies team. Knowle Ladies FC play their first game of the West Midlands Women’s Regional Premier Division on the 1st September, away at Leek Town. Their first home game is 2pm kick off on the 15th September, with Kidderminster Harriers the visitors. They will also be in FA Cup action later in the month!
